1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge

School Highlight: In 2015, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) had the best undergraduate engineering program in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Through the School of Engineering, undergraduates can earn a Bachelor of Science in a number of engineering specialties, including aeronautical, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. Degree programs in chemical, biological, nuclear and environmental engineering are also available. 2. Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta

School Highlight: According to U.S. News & World Report in 2015, the Georgia Institute of Technology had the fourth-best undergraduate engineering program in the nation.

Georgia Tech's College of Engineering offers over 50 degrees. Once admitted, students can pursue a bachelor's degree in 11 areas of study. These include aerospace, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering. The college also offers degrees in environmental and biomedical engineering. After the program, undergraduate students are prepared to enter the workforce or apply for a graduate degree program.

3. University of Florida in Gainesville

School Highlight: As of 2015, Kiplinger named the University of Florida the third best value for in-state students and the eighth best value for out-of-state students on it's list of best college values.

The College of Engineering offers programs in 15 specialty areas. Students may pursue degrees in chemical, computer, nuclear, aerospace, environmental, civil and electrical engineering.
