Army/Marine core mechanical engineering and then college afterwards, options? | Yahoo Answers

The most you could do as an enlisted man for mechanical engineering would be working with mechanical systems (mechanic, 2141 or similar) or ventilation systems. If you join the Corps first, you need to remember you may forget alot that you have learned so far and it will be a difficult transition back into civilian life. I did my 4 in the USMC, and now am 2 years into my mechanical engineering degree. Choose wisely.

what would be the best type of swiss army knife for a mechanical engineer? | Yahoo Answers

Swiss Army Knives, and other similar products, can in certain circumstances be a really handy 'tool' to carry around, but to a mechanical engineer it would be looked upon as a tool similar to let's say an adjustable spanner, ie. great if you haven't got a spanner to fit, but not the best solution.
So, in other words, if you are buying it for someone who is an Engineer, don't expect him to set off for work every day with nothing more than a "Knife" in his pocket
