Job Description:
Position Description We are seeking a Machinery Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance Division of the Wasit Gas Plant Department.

Wasit Gas Plant is a grassroots facility for gas sweetening, dehydration, sulfur recovery and handling, NGL fractionation as well as utilities, power and steam generation. It receives its feedstock gas from two offshore nonassociated wells and NGL from other Aramco facilities. Wasit Gas Plant is the newest and largest gas plant that is currently undergoing commissioning. Wasit is a remote-area facility located 60 km north of Jubail Industrial City and administratively belongs to the Northern Area Gas Operations business line.

The Machinery Reliability Engineer will oversee the performance and reliability of in excess of 1, 100 pieces of rotating equipment and high-impact systems including gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors and pumps, fin-fans and blowers, and associated nonmechanical systems. The successful candidate shall be well versed in all aspects of plant maintenance and reliability such that to develop, coordinate and assess maintenance improvement programs, processes and systems. The candidate must be experienced in current and classical maintenance/reliability programs such as total productive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance, etc. You will develop the reliability block diagram for the facility and use it to assess the reliability of equipment and systems, etc. You will determine how to improve the reliability of concerned systems through system redesign or appropriate system monitoring technology. You will be required to utilize and make decisions based on condition monitoring systems such as vibration, oil condition and ultrasound analyses.

Minimum Requirements The successful candidate must hold (as a minimum) a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.

The academic credential must be coupled with a minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in the maintenance and reliability field at oil and gas facilities, and related engineering practices and international standards. Five (5) years of working knowledge of probability/statistics principles, computerized maintenance management systems and notable reliability engineering tools are required.

The candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English, and have the ability to develop and present ideas concisely and clearly. The candidate must also show skills in process management and improvement, project planning, mentorship and leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities • Plan and provide work direction for preparation of designs, processes and reports, and ensure efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall plant reliability objectives.
• Formulate and challenge the economic basis for engineering studies by analyzing and evaluating all data pertaining to problems.
• Continuously assess and improve the reliability of equipment, systems and processing trains.
• Evaluate the criticality assessment for assets and modify the maintenance strategy accordingly.
• Utilize condition monitoring systems to proactively assess and predict equipment failure.
• Coordinate and resolve problems and concerns with all shareholders (internally and externally).
• Coach and mentor young professionals and technicians, and review their work and guide for quality deliverables.
• Review and develop scope and description of technology items, and lead the implementation and operation of developed solutions in the field to meet standard/performance requirements.
• Lead change in reliability processes and assess associated risks in accordance with Saudi Aramco and industry standards.
• Facilitate proactive reliability engineering analyses in accordance with established processes.
• Participate in professional societies and technical conferences as a Saudi Aramco technical expert.
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to your area of expertise as assigned by your management.
